Calf Killer is low and not surprisingly warm below dam on HWY 111. Picked up a few smallmouth and largemouth along with scattered redeye and bluegill. No luck with streamers but all fish came on top with Carolina blue and black/yellow poppers#8. These fish were smaller than normal for this time of the year no doubt due to extreme temperatures. Low water felt like I was walking over the bones of the river. Fished evening 5pm to dusk early morning would have been more productive.

Thanks for the report. Calf Killer sounds like it is feeling the effects of this heat and drought. The Harpeth and Stones are in a similar situation.
