How cool is this?

Found out last week that a portion of our son's high school band (including him) will be performing with Brad Paisley at this year's CMA awards.  As some of you know, on Paisley's "5th Gear" CD there is a song titled "Online". The band that plays at the end of that song is this same group of kids.  My understanding is that the kids, in uniform of course, will come marching down the aisles between the seats at the appropriate time during his performance.  Pretty unique experience for them huh?   November 7, ABC if you're interested. I don't know that I've ever watched one before but I'll be watching this one.  ;D ;D

Guess this year, I won't make my daughter change the channel when it comes on.  I just have a hard problem with something that is supposed to be country having the artists and music that they sometimes have on >:(

Dang it. I've been trying, for years, to get a seat and a nomination in that thing. Looks like I've been going about it the wrong way. I should have kept up my coronet playing.  ;)

 Yep, it was way cool indeed! We were just whoopin' and hollerin' here..  I actually had a ticket offered to me today but passed on it since it was just one....

What a neat experience for the kids.  ;D
