ETF3
« on: December 16, 2007, 05:38:01 PM »
Well guys, it's in the books. The 1st annual ETF3 "Meet and Greet" was a blast. The great bunch of guys and the good food made the drive to Knoxvegas worthwhile. About 14 of us fly fishermen got together from another board to put some faces with some names. I am still in awe at the flies that everyone tied for the raffle, some of them half as long as my arm :o Even got a few casting lessons from a guy afterwards and believe it or not, I came home with a couple of Sage rods. More on that later. I would just like to thank everyone that showed up and helped me to laugh and smile more than I have in along while.

Yeah Jarrod, Iwish this board could pull off something like that. Seems everytime we try to get something going like a tying and lying or a rod building class, it just kinda fizzles out :(

Maybe someday?

Hey Curtis,

We're glad you made it out man. You and Tee Dub both drove a very long way to enjoy the "Q",Brew, and fellowship and everybody was glad to have you guys join us. And like you've mentioned....it was a lot of fun and the food was great, I've actually been wanting some more over the past two days.

IF you can try to squeeze the "frostbite" trip in, it will be a hoot for sure. Oh yea, everybody is invited to these very informal functions.......only requirement is to be a trout bum or wanna be trout bum.  :)
Goo Goo Ga Choob!

I'd like to go where the pace of life's slow. Could you beam me somewhere, Mister Scott?

flyfishtn: you have just volunteered to make it happen! We will all suport you and I know that the people I have talked to behind the scenes...want it to happen!

rocky:what can I say man....thanks for being the first to welcome me as I walked in the door. We gotta talk more later about going fishing on one of your days off. That river may be one of the hottest in the south right now :o
