What do you guys think about those "hybrid" reels that are two tone? I've been looking at them on another site and I could use a couple more reels.

I think those hybrids came from MRFC. They had them on sale a while back and I didn't buy 'cause I didn't need any at the time.

Dangit Mike...now I may have to go buy.  ;D

I have a Lamson V1.5 and I absolutely love it.  The drag on the Lamson reels is incredible.  I know there are fish that I have landed with that reel that I would not have landed with previous reels I've owned.  I like the Velocity better than the Litespeed.  They are not as light, but the seem a bit more rigid and a bit more durable.  I fell once and knocked my V on a rock pretty good, but it never blinked.  I'm pretty sure the same knock would have bent the frame of a Litespeed...

I've used Lamson reels in my guide biz for about the past 5 years, and they are fantastic IMO.  The drag is sealed & needs no lubrication because it is a lead-alloy (self-lubricating).  Great reels!
