NOLA Trip
« on: April 29, 2008, 01:18:35 PM »
Just a few pics from my recent trip to New Orleans.

Caught a couple of Specks while fishing Ponchatrain.

A couple of pictures from the 9th Ward near Chalmette. Most of these homes were completely under water.

First round of crawfish cooking.

First round steaming on the table - damn, they were good!

The girls that got out of this vehicle were interesting.

Love the architecture.

There are no crazy people in the world.  ;)

Sunday morning after a late Saturday night. Beefeater Bloody Mary's at Tujaques near Jackson Square.

Good job Steve.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

Thanks Mike, that is more of a narrative although I left out some details to protect the innocent or is that guilty.  ;)

That sign is disturbing.  "The greatest cause of atheism in the world today is people that profess Christ with their lips and deny them by their lifestyle." T. Mack.  Whatever happend to extending grace instead of smacking them around with a red sign.

Sweet pics, any reds or jacks?

Yeah, the sign was laughable at best. just one of the crazies around Jackson Square.

No reds or jacks the wind was really up so we had to stay in some protected areas around the twin spans. We got out some and the waves were 3 feet easy which wasn't so bad, just hard to fish.

That was cool.

So, I'm guessing you have no pictures of the interesting girls that got out of that car?
 ;D
Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

Thats some Mississippi girls right there they well frighten all but the strong at heart
The more I fish the more I realize it isn t about the fishing.  The older I get the more I realize it is about the moments God has hand crafted just for me.
