does anyone have any "stick" time with a boat with stick controls? I called Pugar at CustomGheenoe this morning and he said it would get me around 1/2" of extra draft clearance by using it and sitting in the middle of the boat.
I do like the idea of sitting in the middle and just stepping up to the front deck to fish.

Nope
i like the concept though. I talked to a gentleman a few years back in one of those, he said he really liked it except for hitting stumps, it threw him out in front of the boat, yep, jet's sound better in those conditions.

I have it on a 18 x 60 flat bottom.........up front & love it. My layout is flyline friendly...no foot control TM , no steering console , allows perfect balance while under power & level static drift.

We have stick steering on a couple of rigs up here.
Quite frankly, it can be tricky to get used to.

Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

"will it go round in circles, will it fly high like a bid up in the sky" can't remember who sang that, probably a good thing

Well, I just have mine on the rocks, so no steering, sometimes a swirl though.
Other people that mix it use a swizzle stick to steer their drink.
