Duck 4-18-908
« on: May 18, 2008, 03:00:32 PM »
Finally got to fish the Duck for the first time this weekend. The Duck in Old Stone Fort ark still a bit high but clearing. Just got to fish for a few minutes because a friend that does not fish went along no luck with small streamers.
Duck at Cortner's Mill is in good shape and I found the trout downstream, but could not get a hook up. Even tried with dries after seeing trout jumping out of water chasing something. Tons of Crane flies about, gray midges, and a few small greenish mayflies were sporadic. Hits came on small white streamers and small olive and white clousers.
Next couple of weeks should be good on Duck with chance of dry fly action?
Meanwhile my skunk of 2008 continues.
