Elk - 6/11/08
« on: June 14, 2008, 07:40:48 PM »
Temp at the dam on Wednesday was 57 degrees.  We stayed for a few hours.  My husband tapped in to the fish above the first riffle and caught one after another on a sz 20 Adams. He had a blast.  I hooked into one nice rainbow in the first riffle and fought him for a few minutes but he finally released himself! Caught about 5 small rainbows before we left.

That's some cool(no pun) water, sounds great. It was nice meeting you & Jamie at the shop the other day, i hope he enjoys the rod.

So it looks like somebody got the message???  Boy!!!  That's one in a row!  I'm glad our complaints did some good.  Hopefully they'll keep up the good work.

We went up to the Holston above Knoxville yesterday because a buddy of mine got
a photo from a local showing a nice 18-20 inch brown... unfortunately that was also a "one in a row".  We fished from 8 till after 1 and I had one 12 inch rainbow attempt suicide on a black soft hackle.  Otherwise... nothing, nada, zip!!!
