Needing some info. on a boat? Any advice?
« on: July 27, 2008, 06:11:30 PM »
I'm thinking about buying a boat to fish in.  Thinking of a River Hawk or Gheenoe?  I fish on the Canney Fork, too. Never really owned a boat and really want to get one.  What are some pros and cons about these boats?  What size motor is recomended?  What should I get for a starter boat?  Any advice would be awsome!

Red Dog, where are you at, give this fellow fisher person some of your sage advice. ;)

If you would like to talk to a Gheenoe dealer, call or visit Perry,

A little too high for me.  How old is that motor and boat, though?  Why are you selling it?

I have a Riverhawk, the sides are caving in and and the floor is cracking.  Chris N. called me last week (the rep for RH) and said they would ship it down and see what they could do to fix the problem.  I am sending it down in two weeks.  I will let you know if they do whats right.  If they hose me, and not fix the problem I would say dont waste your time with Riverhawk and look at other boats.

Man, hate to hear that.  Yeah, let me know how it turns out.  How long have you had the boat?  What size motor do you use?  I had sent Chris N. some emails around 6-7 months ago about his boats, but never received a reply?

Thats lame that the rep for the company wouldn't even reply to your emails.  If our reps for my company did that, we'd be losing money in an already tough market.  I guess he doesn't need new business. :-\
Fish on!

Same results as well! No response.

Is it just me or is that Yamahammer just plain out sexy? I mean look at those curves. Ummm Umm, somebody ought to jump on this boat!!

I sell and rig  Gheenoes @ www.tntroutbum.com and always have time to speak with potential customers.

You buy a Gheenoe to fish and it's my job to make sure it performs.

Gheenoe is the original and may cost more in some models but their quality has highest priority.

I don't have to sell boats but Gheenoes are what I use and will gladly show you why. Fishing from one with you is the best way for me to prove my point
