Do CT or Fly South have any? I need a few with tippet rings.

Do you have some?

I have two on me today (brought them to work). A 9 and 6 foot with a handshake on one end and a tippet ring on the other.

Let me know and I will get them to you. Assuming you want them before the weekend.  :)

Try this company from England... They have some good looking furled leaders with lots of options:
camo, nymph tips with built in indicators, etc. The quality looks nice.

Mike, I know there articles and how-to's all over the Internet but this one in the new hatches magazine is good. As well, you can pick up the little rings online.

Not to take away from any local shop but here is an example of the rings if you can't find them.

I never bothered reading all the noobs arguings' on the Southeast forum, so I don't know.  I've helped my buddy Shane build a couple on his pimped-out rig at 4am at the Charlotte show, but I still don't know (could've been all those beers between 8 & 4...).  You guys give me the straight dope:  what good are furled leaders?  What are the ads/disadvantages?  What materials are you making them out of?

I figured since they have increased surface area per volume, that they land soft; I also figured since they have a nice even taper, that they turn over nicely.  What else?  Hope I didn't open a can of worms...
