Fuel/Water Seperators

any one use them on your outboards? As damp as it's been the last few weeks, even under a pole barn or garage with the doors open, got me to thinking about using one.

Better safe than sorry syndrome. :-\

I don't have one on my boat but, I have been looking at new boats as of late and a lot of new boats have them. Seems like the Flat/Salt boats all have them. I have thought about adding one to my old boat. I have also thought about buying a new boat with a fuel/water can all ready on it. Just look at the time it would save on installation.......

I bought one for my boat just have to install it and plumb it. Seems it would be a good idea with the Ethanol in gasoline these days.

Mike had a post on it earlier this year.

I have used them on all of my boats but still haven't put one on the yammyhaa yet. Thanks for the reminder!
There isn't any downside to using them only good. They not only keep out water but they also do great at filtering debris before it can clog a jet or injector. Both center console boats I’ve owned had a bad case of fuel tank funk. If it wasn’t for my separator I’d have ended up with a carb job or even worse a blown engine.
