First Run of the 16 x 48 JET SLED
« on: March 12, 2009, 04:05:10 PM »
Anderton Branch just up from Tims Ford Dam on the left, water was rough

I was going to be happy with 20mph and on plane, that way I could pass RedDog in my ole Gheenoe Classic with the 15hp prop. He gets around 18mph with it.

But now I can run circles around him ;D

no matter when I moved to in boat, was above 22mph.

Thanks to Perry Brock at http://www.tntroutbum.com/ for loaning me a EZY stick steering system so I can see where I want to end up before I order a steering outfit.

Thats great David, that is really good speed with a 20  on a 1648, you must have that puppy tuned in perfectly.  congratulations

I'm tickled and can actually take two others for a ride to less fished places.

That's pretty fast for a 16'er.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

Sam has spring break next week, but he could spend a day with granny ;) but I don't have a trolling motor or battery yet.

Plan to rig hard next week, when would be a good day for you?

Let me know when your off days are.

This boat needs river water under it bad.
