I've not tried one of those, but I've got a TFO TiCr 9wt that casts like a dream.  I like tip flex rods and this on is a peach.
Fish on!

I've got the 10 but it's to early to review it. My first impression wasn't so good but I think I just need to find the right line for it. I was throwing a 350 grain. I think for tight quarters, in close fishing, or dock casting like Craig likes to do for those Snook in FL it'd be great. I’m just not sure if it’s a good rod for 50+ ft casts.

We sell Redington - the Predator would not be our choice for a striper rod.  Redington's CPX would be a better choice in the line.  If price is no object Sage's XI3, Loomis Cross-Current best bet.  Predator price point - Sage vantage. ST. Criox Imperial are fine rods.

OK forget the Predator. Im going with the CPX. I own 3 already.  2 6wt salt version. and 1 6wt reg. salt versions are my streamer rods and the reg replaced a broken CPS. For nymphing I still prefer the CPS. Anyway my question is 9 or 10 wt. for river stripers.  and 9wt go with 350gr. and 10 wt. go with 400gr. line?

My vote goes to the 10 in the CPX.

Are my line choices correct?   Do I need a 400gr. line for the 10wt.?   I think I will be getting the Rio Striper 26 DC.

JTH,
A ten weight is rated for 280 grains.  So putting a 400 grain line is a lot of weight, keep in mind you will collapse most rods if you double the grain weight.  Think about what you are trying to do - How deep do you need to get? How much velocity are you trying to get down.  Also don't get stuck in what grain weight do I need.  Think about how fast, how deep, and what size fly you are trying to toss.   Density controls sink rate!
Rio Striper 26 DC is a great line.

I throw a 10 wt CPX rigged with SA Intermediate Clear Tarpon line.  I like the extra strong braid core the line has, and when I've stretched it to breaking strength of 25lb Flouro...you could really put the heat on a big striper.
I haven't rigged this particualr combo with a Rio sinking line yet, but I feel a 350 grain would load just fine.

Let me know what you find out with your choice.

The 9wt CPX with an SA 350 Streamer Express is an absolute delight to cast, all day. A 300 or 350 is a great all around line and one that I have strung up most of the time be it a floater, intermediate, or fast sink. The Rio outbound short, is a great I and F line too.
