When fishing with Mike Anderson, you'd better be prepared to brave the elements. Of course, it didn't help having me in the boat, agreeing that the threatening storm was going to somehow miss us on the water.
Here's the play by play:
"Naw...those clouds are gonna miss us. Those clouds should help the fish turn on. Seeee..they're veering to our South."
(The sound of thunder getting louder and louder)
"Wow! I didn't see those clouds...quick, give me the camera. I might get some good shots."

"Holy sh*t dude, let's get out of here!"

At the boat ramp, we could see the clouds at tree level starting to swirl in a large circular rotation. We spent the next nervous 45 minutes with the surge of strong winds and clouds, expecting at any time to see a funnel cloud drop where the tornado hit just a few weeks earlier.
That was it for fishing, but I left with a new found respect for the storm systems of middle TN. It was an awesome, yet frightening spectacle that definitely demands caution....
and the ability to get the heck outta there FAST!
