Poontoon, with trolling motor
« on: November 26, 2006, 11:08:16 AM »
anybody ever use one on the river? I read on the Western boards about them getting lots of use out on the stillwater lakes. Realize I couldn't come up the gravel bars with one like I can with the MudBuddy. But could be servicable, move you through the slower pools and back up to the head of the slower pools if you wanted to drift through them again.

I haven't personally used one on the Caney but have seen a few on there.   don't see any reason at all why it wouldn't be a great way to fish it!!

I've seen them with 2.5 outboards, with any kind of motor, they have to be registerd like a boat, hard to put #'s on a toon, you'd have to affix them to a plate/board & hang them on the boat..
