Mercury Optimax Sportjet Repair Shop
« on: August 19, 2009, 07:14:07 PM »
I was wondering if any of you guys knew of a Mercury Dealer in the greater Nashville area (East side would be best), that works on the Mercury Optimax sportjets.  I've got a 250hp.

Mike, I don't know for a fact that they have experience with the SportJets but I would suggest Clark Marine in Franklin.  If you are interested in talking with them give me a call and I'll connect you with a mechanic there that we we know.

Just a general note - I've done business with Anderson  on multilpe occasions in the past and advise all to stay away.  They're not honorable people there in my own experience.

Tim, would love to hear details on this. I have done business with them and didn't have any bad experiences (thank goodness) but if I there is something I need to know, I can take my business elsewhere.

The worst of it is a long gory story best delivered in person and I'd be glad to share it sometime.

To me the most telling part is that it wasn't a one time experience...but on multiple occasions they showed themselves to be less than honorable. Any business can have an "oops" moment here or there but when it occurs multiple times with a limited data set then that's a pattern imo.

Thanks guys.

Tim,  I'll contact you if I end up needing to use them.  I'm not sure I have a problem yet.  I haven't run the boat in almost 3 months, and a couple of my other boats have been giving fits with this ethanol gas sitting unused for too long.  I'm heading up there tonight to give it a run tomorrow.

Yes, in person is probably better and thanks for letting me know.
