My 3:00 AM voyage paid off with this fat hook-jawed brown. A large bust on the surface and the fish proceeded to jump atleast 10 times making some giant splashes as he cleared 2 to 3 feet out of the water.
I just about decided to stay home. 40 minutes of driving in dense fog convinced me that I should turn around.....But for about an hour, my insanity paid off as I had some very active fish keeping my adrenaline up. I don't believe this was the the biggest fish I raised that night.... He was just the only one to get hooked.
It's Chaos fishing by yourself in a small boat, netting a big fish, and trying to get a photograph --the fish splashed away before I could get a shot that would do justice.
I guess around 26" and I'm very happy, and worn out.
