Deep Water Bow
« on: August 24, 2009, 09:36:37 PM »
Took a float on Sunday with my Buddy who's been in Law School.  All in all the day was a bit slow...but in the morning, we did manage a few nice rainbows.

As we were drifting past a deep, slow pool, I noticed the water was rising and creating a nice bubble line.  I launched a long cast and let the 250 grain sink deep  toward the weedbed.  As we drifted I said aloud, "Man look at that funnel into this pool...this has to be a perfect hole for some big rainbows."

Moments later....Yep..there he is.  We both watched this nice fish emerge from the deep clear water, which magnified him, making him look like a true monster.  Still, a very nice fish, a great fight, and my biggest rainbow of the year.

Some fog must have rolled in behind me ;D

Hope everyone else is getting out to chase a few.

Travis
