Make it fun Leo, that's what you bought it for. Unless your planning to shoot for Nat Geo stay away from the multi thousand dollar lenses. Considering you’re boo addiction I'd invest in a good Macro. Sony has a 30mm just released for $199 or the new Sigma 70mm 2.8 macro is supposed to be as good as any macro for under $500.
I gota warn you though you better make those wraps tight because that Macro will expose every little teeny tiny flaw….

Thats the problem Mike, it is fun!!  I am looking for a good macro and have been considering the Tamron 90mm based on a lot of reviews over on Dyxem.   I shot a few with Grumpys 50mm 2.8 the other day and they it was pretty cool.

Heck, the glass side of this thing is immense to say the least!  I spent hours reading reviews and comparisons on macros and it seems to me like most of the reviews were sour grapes, " i bought it and it's ok but I will just keep it because it does pretty darn good" type of stuff.

Just picked up a NIB Minolta 35-70 f4 on EBay out of Canada for cheap cheap cheap.  That should mke a decent walkaround until I can afford a G.

I think you should shoot a little macro with the lens I have for sale. I think you will soon like it , it's amazing. I don't do a lot of macro, but I have seen this lens in action by Mike, and it is impressive.  I will consider any offers or trades.
I just don't care!

sounds good to me.  What is the difference in the new style compared to the 50mm 2.8 that Grumpy has, it shoots really well
