Port St. Lucie Area
« on: October 23, 2009, 11:20:39 AM »
Any one fished the Port St. Lucie area recently? ... I have to make an unexpected trip down there in the next day or so and will probably need a little hydro therapy while I am down there ...

Go to BathTub Beah in Stuart.  It is about 30 minutes from you.  The tarpon should be on the beach chasing mullet.  There is also a sweet light that you can fish for snook at the inlet and you dont need a boat.  You can also head to Fort Piece for snook.  The fishing is great there at times.  They have had warm temps so there still should be some snook on the beaches.  The bull reds are coming in too, none the less you can get a pull from a lady or a jack.   Hit the inlets, would be my advice.

Icthus ... Thanks for the info ... unfortunately my fishing time was very limited due to family obligations ... but I was able to get out on the beach at Fort Pierce in the early morning and find a couple of snook that were willing to play ... I am going to try and get down to see my parents again over the winter and next time plan a little more "on the water" time as well ... I will probably hit you up for some information then if that's okay ...
