Thoughts on where to go?
« on: November 16, 2009, 11:56:33 AM »
Guys, I have the day before Thanksgiving for a whole day of fishing.

I live just north of nashville. Where in 2 -2.5 hours could I go and get into some trout fishing if the Caney is running 5600.

I have troll powered john boat. I usually fish the Obey when the Caney is runnning too much so I haven't been anywhere esle fishing for trout other than the smokies.

Where would be a good place to wade some for trout in Tennessee in about 2-2.5 hrs drive. Maybe see some new scenery.

Would you be up for a trip to the Plateau weather permitting? I live in Nashville and would be willing to split gas and know of a couple of spring creeks in your driving range to try if we don't get any more heavy rain..... send me a pm.

I fished the Duck at Normandy today and caught several fiesty 10" rainbows and even a couple of bass. Oh, I almost forgot the bluegills.
That would be under two hours.

Non trout but the Red River should be holding a few hungry Smallies...
