Spring River Arkansas report

Caught 26 fish in a day and half. Should be a lot more really as they were there for the taking for the most part.
Caught a golden trout. Add another species to the list.
Total fish for the both of us was 46.
Glad we didn't go to the Caney after all !

The next picture has a little story to it.
We started a tradition. We play 'points' for bragging rights.
One point for the first fish caught. One point for the most fish. And one point for the largest fish. I knew the largest fish was going to be a draw as we were getting into stockers of the same size for the most part.

While walking back up to the truck about 10 minutes after my buddy had headed up, I happened upon a guy that caught the fish in the photo below. I asked if I could get a picture of me with the fish to mess with my buddy. It had the desired effect......he he he.

I fished the White River this past weekend and saw a bunch of those palaminos. I also saw bald eagles,osprey, and heron. Thos fish have bulls eyes on them, poor little fellas :'(

I bet the birds love 'em.

What's funny is I never saw a one of them. I even didn't know what it was until it was about 10 feet from me. Of course the spring river is a bit 'stained' with all the minerals that are in the water from the spring.
