i know this has been a subject in the past, but i'm in the market for some polarized glass.  i'm looking at the Costas.  i've owned all the standards (oakley, ray ban, etc.) but i want something more geared for performance.

Ok, fellers, whatcha got?
Fish on!

I’ve had my Green Mirror and Blue Mirror Costas for a very long time now. The Customer Service isn't all that from my experience but it isn’t horrible either. IMO you can't beat them for fishing glasses. Stay away from the Blue Mirrors for sight fishing but for lake fishing they are great.

There’ll be people who will read this and say we just like because they cost soo much,,, I used to be that person. Now I'll turn the boat around and go back to the house if I forgot to bring them.

2nd Mike's advice. After years of wearing everything else & having the opportunity to try a lot of other's, i'm very happy with the CDM's

3rd on CDM's. I have the green mirror in the 580 lens and love them. I used t be a huge Smith/Action Optics fan but like my Costa's better.

Fourth or fifth on the CDM. Mine are prescription, so I could not get the 580 lenses, but they are in a class to themselves - awesome. I only wear my other polarized for driving now!

Go ahead and spend the money now on Costa with the 580.  I have had Oakley, Smith, Walmart, Costa by far the best.

Costa's, and no I would not spend the money on the 580's.  I have the standard green and they work well in both salt and fresh.  You can see in the water and see fish when the glare is tough.

Ray Bans are not necessarily a polarized lens. Most of their lenses are 'neutral density'. That means no change in perceived color.
Also you can get a polarized lens put in any ophthalmic frame. I use a regular frame with a polarized progressive lens.

I like Maui Jim's, the MJ Sport version is very light and comfortable, they have a new green lens that would be good on a cloudy day.

What Costas frames have you found to be the most comfortable? I am looking at the Riomar frames. Has anyone tried the copper 580 lenses?
I've always bought the $20 cheapy polarized glasses but want to upgrade this year.

I've noticed the Brine frame as a great sellar/fit, the 580 Copper lens rocks!

I'd like to look through a CDM lense, I can be changed but it will take a whole lot to get me away from Action Optics Clear Water Copper.

For my CDM I like the Fathom frame. Great fit for me.
