I have a Garmin 265W, worked like a charm for 5 months, worked on the way home from work Sunday night, get up Monday to take Sam to school, never has booted up since, brought it in the house, hooked her up to the computer with USB cable, computer never recognized it. Fuse is good in cable.

Got on line and sent Garmin an email asking for a RMA #, still waiting on them, I'd say their customer service SUCKS.

I can't find sales slip, I checked with BassPro Tuesday night while I was in town, I got one to them but sold it to work bud. I may got this one online, and they say in fine print that they don't warranty online transactions.

Got any other brands to suggest.

I saw the other day on your post that you have an LG Dare phone from Verizon.  I, too, have this phone and use the Verizon Navigator app.  For $9 a month, you get unlimited use.  It also lets you know when traffic or accidents are ahead.  I travel frequently with my job and use it almost every time I'm out of town.  Its never let me down.

Also, the app. shows you the nearest gas stations with the cheapest gas.  You can check movie times or even search for restaurants based on style of food (Mexican, Chinese, Pubs, etc.)

Well,  mine doesn't do all of the fancy stuff that your's does, but it has never failed to function properly.  I have had some moments of operator error and/or operator confusion, but the unit always performs flawlessly.

BTW, you don't need a data package when using the Verizon Navigator app.  You do, however, have to pay for the download and the data time when using this.  Its a one time fee, if you don't have a data package.

Well, went out this morning at 5:30 to head to work, guess what, GPS decided to boot up and worked to and from work, even unpluged it and it restarted, so I guess all is well for now.

Had the same problem with an older Garmin I had.  Check on line and see if they have an updated firmware for it.  That worked great for mine until I dropped it in the lake.
