New Striper record approved last week

the new striper record of 51 lbs. 5 oz. on 20lb. class tippett was approved and now stands. It was caught on a Clouser!
I just don't care!

Thats a big fish on fly and 20 lb tippet.   He caught that last year didn't he

Thats right , it was caught last year and was just approved.

I'm not surprised it came out of saltwater, where there's more open room to fight a fish.

On the Cumberland, I'm not sure you could stop a fish that size from getting into a tree with 20 lb. tippet.  Those river fish are a different ballgame.

Anyway, it's a hell of a nice fish by any measure, on ANY tackle.
