Good Shot Grumpy. When I try to do that I always got some weird wavy effect from the glass in our house.

nice shot, notice the seemingly mirror effect from the twig at the birds tail.

I get almost the same thing Mike, more from the screens I think in mine, makes the picture look cloudy and wierd

Tamron 200-500 & i think it's a chipping  or field sparrow?
