Very neat video and you can really see how the sport and equipment has changed over the years.

If I heard right he was using a 9wt, single action reel with 12lbs test leader and a bass bug.  :o

Awesome!  Did it say what year that was?  Guessing the 60's looking at that glass rod.  Amazing stuff, bet he didn't have 200 yards of backing on that
Bogdan (I think) reel!  Wonder if it had a decent drag?
