New Water

Managed to try a new access point on the river and found steep, slick mud banks leading down to the water. Waded in and fished upstream in clear, swift waist deep water over a gravel, sand and shell bottom. Caught enough fish to lose count. Most fish were large mouth, blugill, and my first white bass. Fish came to heavy black streamers stripped from the bank back into the middle of the river.
Moonwalked my way back down stream to the truck.  Best trip of the year so far.

Sounds like a fun way to have spent a beautiful spring day.  We still need to take a trip together.  Keep your reports coming.  I always enjoy them. ;)
