Storms Rainbows and a Swim
« on: April 26, 2010, 06:58:06 PM »
Me and 2 of my friends rolled the dice on the weather Saturday and fished the Hiwassee.  We lucked out and only lost about 2 hours of fishing.  The fishing was pretty good with all of us ending up in the double digits some of which came on dries ( sz 18 Elk Hair Caddis Tan ).   The most productive flies where sz 16 gold bead hair size 14 black copper john and size 16 red copper john and a 190 lb short fly wrapped in a pair of G3 waders (I took a swim for the second trip in a row on the Hiwassee) all in all it was  a really good day the water is super clear and they are only pulsing the generator for a hr per 4 hrs which makes wade fishing very easy.  Hope this report helps someone
The more I fish the more I realize it isn t about the fishing.  The older I get the more I realize it is about the moments God has hand crafted just for me.

Ahhhhh, trout fishing, I remember it well...Glad ya got out and fooled some. By the way, the "Swimmaster" ought to know about the spongebob swimming aids. I'd take his advice.
