Go outside tonight and look up at the sky... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

You talkin' 'bout that huge orb that was glowing orange and rising out of the east around 9:30?  Big and full it was...

This Full moon will make the fish get stupid. I'm already getting some reports of insane numbers of fish caught. Musky at that.

I know that's true for many species, but it's interesting to me how that doesn't seem to apply to stripers - at least larger ones.  For myself and every one I know that specifically targets the big girls the full moon is almost always a tough time to get bit.

My brother, uncle, future brother in law and myself drove at 4:30 this AM to fish and float 2 boats to a striper hole at dawn.  It was a bright clear night sky on the hour drive to the river.

I caught a great hybrid right off the bat, about 12 lbs.  My Brother Jay caught a 10 lb striper, Brandon caught his first 4 lb hybrid.  My uncle got some bumps, but we couldn't get him  a hookup.
All on topwater!  Bite was over around 8:30 with the clear sunrise.

Jay got my uncle on a 3.5 largemouth at another river on the way home.
Will get some photos posted one day.

Great day.

I would be fishing my tail off tonight........but I've got something better coming!

Wedding day is tomorrow Fellas!

My family is reuinited after over a decade of being apart.  Our new home and front porch has been the perfect reunion gathering place.  We are truly blessed.

Crystal and I will do a quickout trip to Florida--no plans.  Most likely trout and redfishing near San Destin.
Our real honeymoon will be in Belize this winter.  8)
God Bless,
Travis
