Yosemite National Park
« on: May 05, 2010, 04:31:25 PM »
All,

I'm working on putting together a trip to Yosemite around August. Anybody have experience fishing there?

The wife is coming along so going too far in the backcountry is probably out of the question. Also, the trip itself is a stretch now that we are single-income so a guide is probably not going to happen either. If anybody has tips on where to go and what flies to use it would be a big help. Also, Can you recommend a book, website or other resource?

Thanks,
Seth

Sorry Seth,
I was not a flyfisher when I visited, but it was during a trip out there about ten years ago that convinced me to become a flyfisher. It was actually while I was in Kings Canyon that I made the decision. Some beautiful water and trout.
