Plateau Spring Creeks/May

Water is subsiding and still a bit stained. Had some luck with streamers today and picked up one trout that had my reel singing. Saw a couple of trout coming up from about four feet of fast water with head and shoulder rises taking something small off the surface probably midges or small caddis flies and tried to match them with olive CDC mayflies, #20 adams,#18 black elk hair caddis, and #18 griffins gnats with no luck. Decided to rest that pool and hiked downstream to deep green water and fished large clousers and struck out with those. The sky almost looked purple against all the new spring growth.
Trout should begin to take larger attractor dries as the water drops and the cold front passes.
