Nags head fly fishing?

Hello all.  It's been a while  Just curious to see if anyone has done any fly fishing in the Nags Head area in NC?  Planning a trip in a couple of weeks and was needing some info.

Several years ago there was access behind the Bodie Island light on the soundside. It is a nice ride down. Not sure if there is still access. It is a bit of a drive, but it is a drive at the beach so it isn't terrible. The drive is also better during the week when all the tourists are safely in their rentals and not on Highway 12.
