More Crawfish slaughter
« on: May 26, 2010, 08:14:46 PM »
Man these guys eat alot of Crawfish. Got this sequence today with pretty good lighting and a closer perspective. I've cropped the image and nothing else. Love that 400 L!!!!

Looks like these guys have a protective membrane eyelid.

He may have lost them when he wouldn't let go?? This place is FULL of BIG Craws and as it turns out of you watch these birds long enough you'll see one get the axe. The Craws evidently craw up through the vegetation and the birds just watch for movement. Its pretty cool to see and I've seen it just about every visit.  The birds take plenty of time eating them making sure to crush them good before the swallow it

Nice shots. Thanks a lot, I’ve been drooling over the 400 L and you just made it worse.
