I have been fishing Wed, Thurs, and today at various times of the days and evenings, and the smallmouth fishing has been excellent.  This has been my first time back to some of my favorite smallmouth waters since the floods, but the rivers feel as if they have been "re-stocked" and the the fishing has been fantastic, with a a lot big, fat fish.  It's amazing to see how the rivers have changed since the flood.  Lots of new tree falls that have created new pools.  Many narrow channels that are now gone, and several flats that are now narrow channels.

Thanks for the reply.  That's always the way it goes isn't it?!  At least you've been having some good luck lately.  What rivers do you fish for smallies?  Things are so hectic here, trying to sell our house, but we have signed on the dotted line for my wife's new job so we'll be moving in August or Sept.  I'm getting excited to get out and explore new waters.  Anyone getting into any stripers lately?
