I was at the shop this past Monday, was going to sign up just so I'd get out and fish for them, but didn't see anything on the counter to make me think to ask.

It's not over yet.  It runs until the end of the month.  You have to score your fish before 9:00 a.m. August 1.  I haven't been in the shop for a week but I'll go by this afternoon to score a few fish from last weekend. 

Not sure what the board looks like now but a week ago I was leading.

BD wasn't leading, he was spanking everyone when I was in a week or so ago, Gil was "close" in second place with something like 5 fish at maybe 20 lbs, BD was something like 300 fish at 1000's of pounds, we all should throw in the towel and spare the fish some sore lips.

you  never  know who is holding back until the last few days

Gil is ahead of me on the big fish now.  I put a few more on the board for the total weight though.

People who hold back until the last day are losers.    Man up and turn in your fish and make it a real race.
