Elk last Friday

I started at Farris creek with olive and yellow soft hackles. The action was fast most of the morning but the fish were small. Bows and browns in the 6" -8" range. Lots of fun. Moved to the dam in the afternoon and got skunked. I tried wolly buggers, soft hackles, and zebra midges. I talked to some guys who were down at the first bend and they had some luck on midges under an indicator and dead drifted but the fish were small. I expented to see more fish since they had just stocked. The humidity was low and I didn't break a sweat all day.
