Been fishing on Priest the last few weeks from the Kayak with various other people. My girlfriend Melissa went one day and had never fished from the yak before. She caught several fish, mainly white bass
Forgot the camera a few times and have only taken a few pics. Have not found the Hybrids and stripers the last few trips, but going on the boat next week to look with the sonar and of course be able to cover some ground.
Been catching lots of white, yellow, spotted, largemouth and smallmouth bass though. Also caught a big crappie the other day which I ate for breakfast with eggs yesterday morning.
I have been from Stewart creek on up to Jefferson, launching at various areas and reloading the kayaks and driving to another launch if things are not happening.
The fish are coming on 2-3" swimbaits and grubs, the Berkley T-tail minnow, tiny flukes and walleye assassins on 1/8,3/16 and 1/4 oz scrounger heads and some bass on senkos. Nothing on topwaters lately but that will change if I can get out on an overcast day. Every day I have been out it has been bluebird skies, though I'm sure I could have got some whites on a small spook or pop R.
The whites in the pictures are some of the smaller ones. When I have been into the one pound plus fish, I haven't stopped to take pictures since they are moving so fast.
Will report next week and since we will be on the boat I'll have more pictures.
Good fishing,
Brian
