Spent the weekend chasing toothy critters, and on Sunday afternoon was drifting along next to the bank when there was a loud SPLASH next to the boat -- I turned around to find that a squirrel had misjudged a jump between branches and dropped about 30-40' from treetop to the water. In a river jam-packed with muskies, he'd landed in one of the shallowest parts of the reach, and swam to shore without incident!
We had a great day on Sat, but the bluebird skies on Sunday shut down the bite.
