Pascual Toso 2009 Malbec

This is a very nice Malbec from Argentina. Lots of fruit taste and very creamy smooth texture make this a very good and easy drinking red. It doesn't hurt that I can get it for $12.99 a bottle.

The solid tannins keep everything held together while the boysenberry fruit, clove spice and vanilla finish make this very pleasing on the palette.

Yep - that's a pretty solid Malbec - a few years ago that wine really took off as I think the 2006 had several high ratings and for the price it's great. South America just keeps bringing tasty fruit at great value (and pissing France, Italy, and Spain off in the process!!  :D)

Steve which store is your go-to wine retailer? I might throw out a few more recommendations for you... I work with a local wine importer and distributor so needless to say I've tried too many of them to be proud of. But hey, gotta try the competition too see what we're up against right  ;D

Always open to recommendations and I don't shy away from any grape.

My go to is Graces Plaza Wine and Spirits.

Thanks in advance!
