Anybody fishing this weekend?

The weather's going to be cold and nasty, could be a good thing.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.

But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.

She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.

She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.

I probably will not be fishing this weekend.

Kids got here last weekend. Staying through this weekend.

Grandson is just about old enough to go for an hour or so, but not in questionable weather. I'll be hanging around the house.

I will volunteer to have some hot coffee or chocolate, laced with a little something extra, for those that might be out there freezing their various body parts off while in the midst of fin toil.
Yesterday, I was at the bottom. I was at the bottom of a valley, in the river. Then my eyes hiked up the mountains to the snow capped peaks. I thought, "When I am at this lowest place I can be, standing in a river, everything is looking up."

I'm hoping to get out - chances of a no generation window on the Caney look slim though.  I might have to try elsewhere...

I might take the Supreme to West fork and run up to Nice's Mill.

You two jet guys shoud be ashamed of teasing us prop guys like that. Hmm, Hmm, Hmm.  ;D

Wish I could go this weekend, but I'm on Grandpa duty. Have fun, be safe, take extra clothes.

Thumper the East Fork to Mona is a long run by river. :o From West fork to Nice's Mill would be a littler warmer.  ;D Have you had it out yet?

Todd I've been meaning to tell you that I found your site and man I'm impressed! Maybe I can come in sometime and lay down a track. As long as there aren't any hounds dogs anywhere around to get all excited it might sound real good,,,,, not.

Feel free to link to it from here.

The boat  has been in the water with a 25 Merc prop just after I purchased it.  The motor had a noise in it so I returned it and bought the jet.   The Yamahamer has yet to be started except at the factory.  I need to break it in before we race for pink slips. ;)  Mike, did you or have you checked the shimming on your impeller?  I have not had the same warm fuzzy experience with my jet installation as you did.  :-X
Hope to see you out this weekend 8)

Thanks so much, Mike.  Come on by anytime, we'll find something to lay down that'll make the dogs happy!

Hey Ron!  www.toddro.com - no music there (yet), just an "online resume" of sorts...

Thanks,

Todd

Ever had one of those great days where you have less than a hour of sunlight left and start catching fish after fish... I felt like a little kid again, just not wanting to leave the river.  Its like a light switch was turned on with the fish.
