« on: January 30, 2011, 07:15:45 AM »
Anyone know if water is clear below Fayetteville? TVA site says water is running at over 1900cfs, they have not run water since Thurs, i think.
Thanks,
Eric.

I will cross the river in the morning after I take my son to school. Will get you a report. I'm expecting it to be clear.  If you want I can walk down to the river in front of the house and shine a light. I'm above Mulberry Cr.

Thanks David, but don't have to check tonight, i was going to try and fish up there today, but got to busy working on boat, didn't get away until around noon, so i put boat in on the Flint, rode up a little ways and drifted back, caught a few spots, nothing to big but fun anyway!

water is up a few inches on the gravel bar below the old Stone Bridge (what's left of it), clear as it gets.

I'm fishing somewhere, somehow tomorrow, couldn't go today with wifes schedule, I had a trip to the Caney I could have taken, or the Elk trip with you. BUT, our central unit went out this weekend while I was working, had wife to call outfit that put it in, they got to it this morning. Installed a new motor and it was bad, had to go get another and just left.

I'll be wading tomorrow, haven't had it on the Elk, I'd be surprised if you could get a boat down or up at Drivers Paint Ball area, I can think of a few places that I wouldn't run a boat on the Elk.

are you chasin' trout? or are you gonna try the smallies? I did real well on the smallies last summer, have not tried them in the winter. I did real well last sat at smith island.(before my early season swim!!)
