I think it's going to have to be up on the lakes, looks like all of our rivers are going to be blown out for a while.

Yeah, post the location when you find them. That will help everyone.

I saw a post on Zach's board that folks are seeing them in Macon County Georgia. I think rain and cool temps may delay them a bit here. I saw 2 on my patio this weekend, but hopefully the bulk of the cicadas are delayed a week or two and that will give the water time to run out!

Macon, huh? Hmm. Are they emerging in any numbers? Anyone have any interest in a run south for shoal bass?

This was the post yesterday (I hope is is ok to copy/paste it...)
Rob - they are already here! They appeared in record number just before the storms this past week, mostly in south Georgia. My Father-in-law said the noise was deafening last week in Macon.
I would be interested in a shoal bass trip depending on when it were to happen...

I'm good for this weekend. It looks like other than some scattered showers today, the weather will be good down there at least through the weekend... I know of a couple good access points on the mainstem Flint but I'll check with a couple friends that fish the area a lot and see what's up. More soon.

I read an article in eastern fly mag. it said that the Flint gets really muddy with rain, and they have had plenty. We have been wanting to float it for a while now!!

I spoke with my parents, who live out in the county just south of Charlotte, NC. They woke up yesterday morning and thought the neighbors were cutting down trees with a chainsaw. Nope, just the noise of fish food.

They have had some rain, but it's falling fast and should clear up over the next several days.

As a bonus, the spider lilies might be in flower, too... wish I had the $$$ lying around for that Tokina 11-16mm...

I wouldn't be good for this weekend either. Sounds fun though - never fished that area, so it would be a blast to go with someone familiar with it.
