Whacked a few smallies today. Nothing large but I did miss a couple that were big and black. Pics later

Nice! It would appear some of the warm-water smallies have shut down now, esp. since the high water has receded after the heavy rains at the first of the month. A lot of water in my area is still cloudy / sandy / muddy after running so high for a week, and the fishing has slowed considerably.

Noting to brag about but they were fun. The tug is the drug.

Thanks for sharing the pics Mike.
Hitting those on topwater, or sub-surface?
Right behind steelies, these are my favorite freshwater fish to catch.
Lots of attitude and usually willing to play.
Can't wait to get out for them!

Pal and I got out today and smacked some sallies and large mouths around. An awesome day that ended on the note of, "Your late honey, how could you be late?" Well, these pics don't do this trip justice, but if she was on the water and saw what we saw she would have been late too.
pal had a good time,
