Hiked down to the river for a few nights out to explore and find some new water.
Saw a stream with acid damage.
Passed by a spring creek that I will try and check out on another trip.
Finally made the steep descent down to the main river.
The smallmouth bite was on! Bass were really aggressive even with the water temperatures as cold as they were. Fun seeing gold flashes hitting my streamers and I even got to get some fish up on top.
No cicadas at all in the area. Best fish was 15" and the most productive sreamer was a #4 black conehead wooly bugger with rubber legs. I would post a fish picture, but feel embarassed after seeing toddro's latest catch.
