Public television is great

I was channel surfing and on the cookeville public televison and they are showing an episode of "Fly Tying: the Angler's Art" right now. I'm not sure if they show it weekly but the slot this episopde is in is  saturday 5:30-6:00. You can watch this show online but it is great to have this show on our airwaves.

I agree 100%

Has anyone seen the show Alone in the Wilderness on PBS? Check it out if they play it again. It’s about a fellow who moves deep into the Wilderness of Alaska with nothing but some hand tools, a few guns, canoe, and a fishing pole. He built a cabin furniture etc, etc with his hands. He gets up in the morning and thinks, Hmmm, I think I'll build a table today or maybe make some wooden hinges for my Door. AWESOME show and even though I know I'd die within a month out there, ;D I still dream of doing something like that someday.

Versus used to be called OLN. Good channel but they are heading more towards competetive sports. I really like the Outdoor Network. Lots of hunting and fishing and wheeling TV.

AdamTN, I saw the show you are referring to. Very nice to see that on the local TV network.
