Hey guys, been a while since I've been on here. Been workin on my house, trying to get it ready to sell. It's took months to get it ready for the market, but almost there. Do manage to get a few musky trips in between regular job and working for the wife. LoL. The word is that there will be a statewide Musky meeting on August 20th in Crossville Tn. Jim Negus(east tn. musky) will be there as well as others, including Jack Swearigin from middle tn. Jack told me that this would be a good time for us middle tn. guys to make a good showing, and get some things done for this area. As Musky studies on the Collins and Great Falls start in October, now would be a good time for us to voice our opinions. You guys know as well as I do that Musky fishing has really taken off in Tennessee. In my opinion, this is a two edged sword. With more and more people chasing our fish, the need for better regulations and a statewide size limit,(or slot) is badly needed. Some of our smaller rivers will hurt without help. Another important thing we should be concerned about is educating everyone about proper catch and release tecniques.
That's the big reason we started the Tennessee Musky Hunters Club. We want to help the state in any way we can, while enjoying the fun and fellowship of Musky fishing. We are up to around 30 members now, and looking for more interested anglers to help our efforts. No big heads in this club, just a bunch of guys that love the sport of musky fishing. I'll be sending directions to the regional office in Crossville, and hope abunc of us cand show up for this important meeting. Let's make a good effort to attend.
