New Creek
« on: October 02, 2011, 09:43:17 PM »
I explored a new creek early this morning, and had around 4 hours of solid fall smallmouth fishing.  Lots of areas where the bottom was solid limestone, and that kind of bottom normally does not fish well in my experience, but I found fish hiding in the cracks and along the ledges and had a nice morning out.  Several 12" smallies and then one beast that was 17" that I nailed up under some trees against the bank near a really deep hole.  Also found an awesome carp hole to return to - just loaded with huge carp!  :o

This weather has been amazing!  Tight lines,
