This one is a great place to start. Some like to articulate and I do some of mine but I also like a single hook too for when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to cast a cat all day.

The cool thing is, there are no set patterns yet..each new jumbo fly is an experiment.  Go to Basspro or elsewhere and find some jumbo Bucktails in any color you want to tie-- making sure its good and holo, so it will flare when you reverse-tie it in segments.  SF Blend by Metz also comes in a ton of colors, and works well to add as a layer in between to fill a profile and add color.  Good Luck finding affordable long saddle hackles...but the strung Chinese saddle feathers work well for movement when tied in. Flashabou in different  thicknesses adds sparkle and movement, and the gold for a tail seems to work well.
You can stack holo bucktail or EP fibers to make a bulky head that pushes water, and makes a vortex...churning the water to make the fly move.

What I can't stress enough is the importance of a good hook.  600 SP is hands down the best. I use 8-0, 6-0, and 4-0, and the damn things are pricey...but worth  it if fish start grabbing.  I articulate the flies by joining them with 80# braid covered in beads.
Each fly I make, takes about 1 hour, and $10 of material.3 hooks, and 12" of fly later....but its so cool to make one that swims like mad, and lures a follow in the first10 mins of fishing.

Those are great starts. Be experimental with colors and sizes and also don't forget to try big popper heads too.
