I thought this was a Canon S95 camera thread?? Not a "How to drown Grumpy" thread. I like the way you guys think but Grumpy doesn't need my help getting wet. He seems to really like the water and being one with the fishies. Kinda like a duck or lab enjoys the water. I'm just not sure which yet. I'll let you'll know.
Now, back to the S95 and my question. I want either an S95 or S100. Regardless of price which model is the better camera and why? TIA

That's a hard choice Glenn. The 100 has a CMOs sensor vs CCD, supposed to better at high ISO, has gps, and a few other bells and whistles. It's too soon to really know how much better it really is. I think you'd be happy with either.

Mike have you used the video on your S95 and if so what do you think? Is it difficult to activate/ switch from photo to video. Is the audio quality good? Have you had a chance to do a side by side comparison? I don't really have or see a need for the GPS function so I am leaning towards the S95.
I checked out some of the comparisions on the link you put up. It looks like the white balance is much warmer on the S100. I know the S100 has a more grippy surface but that can be resolved with some tape on the S95.
Still I am unsure which one is the better camera for me. I like the wider angle zoom too on the S100.

The video is great. Check out youtube for some fine examples.
